Recently I have fallen in love with Tri-Shutter albums. You can find album kits on the internet selling for about $35 but a couple of CTMH consultants reverse engineered them and provided templates. My mom requested that I do a mini album for my Grandmother's bday and I immediately thought of a Tri-Shutter album. The inspiration for the album was the letters of Connor's name in the bold plaid. The album was designed around that.one element.
Finishing this mini-album was really an organic process and as I was adhering photos and paper, I thought of slipping the DVD I was making separately into the center. To attach the DVD, I pierced a length of ribbon with a brad and then poked the ribbon through the center portion of the album. Tying a bow holds the DVD in place. When there is no bow, the DVD slips easily off the ribbon.
Products used:
Cardstock: Prince Charming (Bazill), Sweet Leaf (CTMH), Buttercup (CTMH)
Paper: Caboodle Level 2 - CTMH
Ribbon - Bulk - Michaels
Embellishments - Unknown stickers from stash, Bows - Martha Stewart
Once I figure out a place, this will be my first workshop. I will give everyone the choice of You Rock, Caboodle, or Veranda paper. I have albums in progress using those paperpacks so stay tuned!
